Great Britain has one of the highest health and safety records in the world, as a nation we take our H&S seriously. While our record may be the envy of many other countries there is still more work that can be done.
The reality of Health & Safety issues in the workplace
Between 2017 & 2018 7 million work days were lost due to work related illness and injury, 4 million workers suffered a work related illness and just over half a million workers suffered a work related injury. Most worryingly 493 business or responsible people were prosecuted and convicted for failing in their health and safety duties.
Go Home Healthy
The HSE is once again running its Work Right campaign; Work Right encompasses their ‘Helping Great Britain Work Well Strategy’, a plan with a simple goal and message that everyone has a right to go home healthy after work.
Manage & Reduce Risk
Managing risk in the workplace is a key way to ensure workers health & safety, this is the central focus of the Work Right campaign, HSE are encouraging people and business to talk about how they are managing risk.

At Nederman our business is about reducing risk by eliminating dangerous fumes, smoke and particles from the air we breathe. Our obsession with clean air is linked to our desire to protect people and the environment we work and live in. ‘Work Right’ and the go home healthy message is well aligned with our own beliefs which is why we are happy to support HSE’s campaign.
