Simple, quiet and safe wood dust extraction
.png)
The LBRS provides effective wood dust collection for facilities that need more capacity than a smaller enclosureless collector without the complexity of a large central dust collection system.
Its automatic shaker-cleaning system does not require compressed air, making it a simple and reliable option. Configurable capacity and waste handling options allow the system to be selected around the application, facility layout and available space.
The key elements
Formerly the NFPZ
The LBRS builds on the practical shaker baghouse design previously known as the NFPZ, with expanded configurations and waste handling options.
Modular and configurable
Multiple filter sizes, fan arrangements and material discharge options support different airflow and installation needs.
Automatic shaker cleaning
Filter bags are cleaned automatically after the extraction fan stops, without requiring compressed air.
Quiet operation
Low-noise performance makes the LBRS well suited for schools and facilities where sound levels are an important consideration.
Space-efficient design
Integral fan mounting helps reduce the system footprint and make efficient use of available outdoor space.
NFPA-compliant solutions
The LBRS can be configured with appropriate combustible dust safety components based on the application.
Common applications
The LBRS provides centralized extraction for small to mid-size woodworking facilities with intermittent or light production demands.
- Woodworking trade schools
- High-speed routing
- Sawing and cutting
- Single-cell manufacturing
- Intermittent wood processing
- Light wood processing

Flexible waste handling options
The LBRS expands on the waste handling capabilities of the former NFPZ with new configurations for collecting, handling and transferring wood waste.
SUPERBAG filters
Nederman SUPERBAG patented filter technology supports high filtration efficiency, low energy consumption, combustible dust safety and extended filter life.
- Emissions levels below 0.1 mg/m³
- Low pressure drop to help reduce energy use
- Durable, seamless woven construction
- Antistatic woven carbon fibers

How the LBRS works
During normal operation
- Dust-laden air travels from the plant through the
supply duct into the collector. - Dust enters the hopper section of the filter
- As the air slows down in the hopper, heavier dust
particles drop into the configured waste handling
option. - The remaining fine dust travels upward into the filter
bags. - Filtered air is exhausted outside or returned to the
building through a properly designed return air
system.
During filter cleaning
- The LBRS cleans off-line only when the extraction
fan stops. - The shaker mechanism starts automatically and
operates for a set period. - The filter bags are shaken, loosening the dust
remaining inside the filters from the filter fabric. - Dust particles released during the cleaning cycle
fall into the configured waste collection option.
Configurable capacity
Seven LBRS models are available to support different airflow, filtration and installation requirements. Nederman can evaluate the process, dust load, duct system and facility layout to select the appropriate configuration.
